Software Engineer

We are seeking a qualified candidate for a Software Engineer.  We are re-factoring our front end and cleaning up our legacy code base in the process.  We are looking for someone who is adaptable to diving into new technologies, and is passionate about creating the best software and UX around.  The ideal candidate will be a UI designer with extensive back end experience.

This  position will implement and re-factor web client interfaces utilizing the following technologies and languages.

Technical requirements

(Note: very strong skills in two or more of these areas may offset lack of experience in other areas.)

Area 1 : Target Skills - Web UI/Client Programming:

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (objects), DOM-manipulation, RESTful services, AJAX, JSON, XML, Less.css, jQuery, jQuery Mobile.

Not required but a plus: jQuery plug-in development, Twitter Bootstrap, custom AJAX form elements, UI frameworks, grid systems, sprites, caching, static content control.

Area 2: Web Server Programming:

C# 3.5/4.0, MSTest, NUnit, generic collections, Serialization, SQL data-readers, custom user controls, page and control base classes, thread safety, high performance.

Not required but a plus: Exchange/WebDAV/EWS, Outlook/Office add-ins development, external API web service experience.

Area 3: Database Server Programming:

T-SQL, stored procedures, UDFs, triggers, scalable best practices, normalization, complex queries, execution plan optimization. Very Strong SQL Stored Procedures experience (or be prepared to learn).

Not required but a plus: SSRS programming and deployment experience.

Area 4: General Technologies:

Visual Studio 2010, Source control (mercurial/hg), IIS 7/7.5, SQL Server 2008/R2, Reporting Services.

Not required but a plus: Cloud DB experience, knowledge of noSQL, and/or experience with Amazon/RackSpace cloud.
